Abstract:

Disharmony of Indonesian legal regulations in the management of forestry natural resources with international law can cause various problems, such as conflicts of interest between the central and regional governments, legal uncertainty, and potential violations of indigenous people and environmental rights. This article discusses the development on forestry natural resource management to reduce climate change in international forums and Indonesia’s role in the process. The results of the study indicate that forestry natural resource management requires synergy between national and international legal regulations. Indonesian law provides a legal framework for domestic forest management, while international law encourages international cooperation and protection of forests as world heritage. It is important to continue to develop comprehensive and effective regulations to ensure sustainable forest management.
