The 8th Legal International Conference and Studies (LICS 2025): Corporate Responsibility and Environmental Law Through Economic & Business Management Practices

This collection contains selected articles from the The 8th Legal International Conference and Studies (LICS 2025)  held in Semarang, Indonesia on 18-19 June 2025. This event was hosted by the Universitas Islam Sultan Agung Semarang (UNISSULA).

The conference was held to explore new advances in legal solutions for addressing the global environmental crisis, with a particular emphasis on sustainable resource management, protecting biodiversity through business practices, and analyzing corporate environmental responsibility, among other topics.

This KnE Social Sciences issue contains 50 peer-reviewed articles that focus on key topics relating to the special issue theme, including new government initiatives in examining the role of the private sector in mitigating climate change and protecting biodiversity, implementing sustainable practices, and exploring how environmental law can regulate corporate impacts on climate and ecosystems. This special issue also highlights the role of technology in enhancing environmental legal compliance, implementing best practices in innovating green economy and reducing carbon emissions, addressing gaps in legal frameworks, and exploring innovative conservation strategies through legislation and policy.

These articles will be of interest to academic students or professionals researching or working in law, environment, and sustainable development and innovation, and private sectors.
