Abstract:

Inclusive education is one of the policies of the Indonesian government which aims to ensure that every citizen, whether they are regular students or have special needs, are educated equally. Inclusive education services are expected to help children understand, accept, and appreciate the differences between them. Regular students who attend inclusive schools must exhibit prosocial behavior because regular students and students with special needs will continue to meet and interact directly or indirectly. Providing training in the form of empathy care training is expected to increase empathy, which will affect prosocial behavior. This study aims to see the effectiveness of empathy care training in improving the prosocial behavior of regular students in inclusive elementary schools. It uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest design. The measuring instrument used is a prosocial scale. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with ten subjects. Data analysis used the Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that empathy care training was effective in improving the prosocial behavior of regular students in inclusive elementary schools (Sig 0.000 <0.05).
