Abstract:
This study presents a histological analysis of a transplanted donor kidney, including its ureter, a part of the contralateral ureter, and a segment of the bladder, enbloc transplanted into recipients with simulated microcystis in a porcine model. The experiment was carried out on six pigs, three donors and three recipients, under general intubation anesthesia. From each donor, the left kidney with the ureter and a triangular bladder segment with the right ureter were removed as a single block and perfused with an organ preservation solution. In recipients, the right kidney with ureter, apex of the bladder, and left ureter were removed. Orthotopic organ transplantation was performed. Donors were euthanized post-surgery, while recipients were observed for 7 days. Subsequently, the recipients underwent relaparotomy, visual assessment, and histological examination. Histological analysis of transplanted organs reveals the presence of blood supply to the graft tissues, especially the part of the donor bladder. This indicates a high probability of good organ engraftment. This study focuses on evaluating graft vascularization, with long-term engraftment being addressed in future research.
