We are delighted to share that the Journal of Spine Practice has received its first citation in PubMed, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to advancing spinal research. The recognized article, titled ‘Three decades of spine surgery research evolution in Saudi Arabia: A bibliometric analysis,’ from volume 2, issue 2 of our journal, can be found in the prestigious index.

This article addresses the often overlooked landscape of spine research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), offering a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. It concludes by calling for an enhancement in the quality of spine research in KSA. As a journal in its early stages, this citation really showcases the relevance and quality of the original research the journal is publishing.

Journal of Spine Practice is a bi-annual Platinum Open Access journal that publishes leading research in all spine subspecialties, focusing on orthopaedic spine, neurosurgery, radiology, and pain management. JSP aims to support students and early-career researchers in their careers in spine research.

As an Open Access publisher in the MENA region, we are always excited to facilitate the launch and development of new journals in emerging fields. Being an integral part of JSP’s journey since its inception has been a source of great joy for us, and we look forward to the journal’s continued growth and success.
