Clarivate has released the 2025 Journal Impact Factors!
On August 11, 2025

Clarivate has officially released the 2025 edition of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), providing the latest Journal Impact Factors (JIFs). These metrics are calculated for journals indexed in the Web of Science in 2024 and are widely used globally by researchers, editors, and institutions. JIF measures the average number of citations received in a particular year by papers published in a journal during the preceding two years. While it is not the only metric of journal quality, the JIF remains a widely recognised tool for assessing the visibility and impact of academic journals.
This year’s release reflects ongoing developments of citation patterns in the academic publishing landscape, due to factors such as the growth of open access publishing and greater global research collaboration. Several of our hosted journals have performed strongly, showing notable gains in citations and increases in their impact. We are pleased to share the 2025 Impact Factors for our Web of Science-indexed journals:
- Dubai Medical Journal: 0.6
The journal promotes original scientific research in medicine to promote innovative approaches to medical and healthcare issues and challenges. It focuses on the particular needs and challenges faced by researchers and medical practitioners in the United Arab Emirates. - International Journal of Reproductive BioMedicine: 1.8
The journal focuses on fertility and infertility, ethical and social issues of assisted reproductive technologies, and the cellular and molecular biology of reproduction. - Journal of Ophthalmic and Vision Research: 1.5
The journal explores different aspects of ophthalmology and vision science, including basic and clinical research to advance the science, technology, ethics and art of ophthalmology. It also includes basic science disciplines that contribute to vision science. - Sudan Journal of Medical Sciences: 0.3
The journal publishes original research on healthcare challenges and the latest developments in medicine, nursing, and basic medical sciences. It promotes medical research relating to Africa and the Middle East and, more specifically, to Sudan.
By receiving an impact factor, these journals are expected to have enhanced credibility and reputation, broader visibility and readership, and attract higher quality submissions. We congratulate the journal editors, authors, and reviewers whose hard work has contributed to these achievements. As we continue to support the growth and visibility of our journals, we remain committed to fostering high-quality, impactful research that advances knowledge and benefits the academic community across the globe. We look forward to the continued growth of these journals and aim to support them in achieving higher impact factors in the coming years.
