Launching Our First B2B Workshop
On May 16, 2023
We are very excited to host our first workshop, designed to help researchers attend and present at conferences. This is a vital skill for any researcher seeking to build a reputation and develop valuable connections within their field. But it can be difficult to choose the right conference, to write a successful abstract proposal, and to present research clearly and confidently.
The workshop, Get Noticed: How to be a Success at Conferences, will be delivered by Dr Emily Choynowski, Head of Research Development and Dissemination at Knowledge E, and a veteran presenter who has spoken at countless academic and professional conferences across the world.
We developed this workshop to deliver an in-depth exploration of what researchers should think about when considering attending a conference, including how to evaluate the potential benefits and risks, and how to identify and avoid predatory conference organisers. The workshop will also offer valuable guidance on how to respond to a Call for Papers with a well-written proposal, maximising chances of acceptance. Finally, the workshop will provide helpful tips on how to present research in a concise, convincing, and engaging way – including how to plan and write a high-impact conference paper, how to create a powerful powerpoint presentation, and how to deliver a speech clearly and confidently.
This workshop is part of our KnE Clues, a series of videos, whitepapers, guidelines, and workshops offering helpful tips and tricks to researchers, journal editors, and conference organisers.
