Abstract:
This research is a study of the effort exerted by Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al-Samarrai in the Prophetic Hadith. In particular I focus on his book on the science of the origins of the hadith. The introduction offers a brief overview of Sheikh Abd al-Aziz al-Samarrai's life including his family, his career, his attributes, and his death, followed by a summary of the Sheikh’s book. In the first section, I discuss the defects that I found in his book, and in the second I consider the advantages of his book.
