Analysis of Management Functions in Banjarmasin Mosque: A Literature Review Using Atlas.ti

Abstract:

This study examines the role of management in mosque administration in Banjarmasin, focusing on the implementation of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling (POAC) functions. Using a literature review from 2019 to 2024, the study analyzes mosque management practices with the aid of ATLAS.ti software. Findings indicate that while mosques in Banjarmasin generally adhere to the core management functions, there remains a strong emphasis on religious activities, with less focus on broader community empowerment roles. The research highlights that while short-term, medium-term, and long-term planning functions are well-established, social activities and the empowerment of youth and women are not consistently integrated into mosque activities. Challenges identified include limited human resources, financial transparency, and the underutilization of technology in mosque operations. This research offers both theoretical contributions to the field of mosque management and practical recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of mosque administration in fostering community welfare.
