Abstract:

Outdoor learning mathematics (OLM) is a way of presenting mathematics learning outside the classroom to create a fun learning atmosphere for students. Students who feel bored, uninterested, and less enthusiastic about learning mathematics are not able to grasp the material and solve mathematical problems. Thus, OLM create more meaningful experiences for students. In the independent curriculum, differentiated learning accommodates the scope of learning that favors students. So, designing a combination of OLM with a differentiated learning approach will provide a solution. The method used is design thinking with data collection through questionnaires distributed to students. Researchers conducted questionnaires and interviews to identify the needs and problems of students in learning mathematics. As a result, researchers applied OLM with a differentiation approach to make learning mathematics a more fun experience for students.
