Abstract:

The objective of this study is to investigate how work-life balance (WLB) affects employee performance (EP) in the hotel industry of South Sumatra. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 100 hotel employees in the South Sumatra region. The analysis was conducted using simple linear regression to determine the relationship between WLB and EP. The findings indicate a significant positive influence of WLB on the EP in the tourism and hospitality sector. These findings emphasize the significance of promoting a healthy WLB to improve productivity and overall job satisfaction among hotel employees. The study adds to the existing literature by offering empirical evidence on the essential role of WLB improving EP in the hospitality industry in South Sumatra. Recommendations for hotel management practices aimed at promoting WLB.
