Does the PJBL Learning Model Based on Mobile Apps and Motivational Effects on Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Entrepreneurship Courses?

Abstract:

Entrepreneurship learning is carried out gradually and continuously in colleges and universities. The problem is the large number of unemployed. It is suspected that there are influencing factors, namely: the skill competencies of college graduates do not match the needs of market demand. The Entrepreneurship Lecture was held to introduce the world of entrepreneurship and equip students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit. This study aims to determine the effect of project-based learning (PjBL) based on mobile apps and learning motivation on students’ critical thinking skills in entrepreneurial courses. This study has a quantitative design. The study population comprised 116 students from the Economics Education Department of PGRI Jombang University. The selected sample included 54 students through the survey. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that: 1) There is an effect of the PjBL model based on mobile apps on critical thinking skills. 2) There is an effect of learning motivation on critical thinking skills. This study provides practical implications where mobile app-based PjBL provides convenience in managing information related to learning activities in entrepreneurship courses.
