Abstract:

This study examines the impact of government spending on poverty, with economic growth acting as a mediating variable in Papua. The data used in this research is secondary, focusing on the socio-economic conditions of 29 districts/cities in Papua Province. This study employs quantitative analysis to assess the effects of government spending on education and health on both economic growth and poverty levels in Papua Province during the 2017-2021 period. The findings indicate that government spending significantly affects poverty levels in Papua Province, with economic growth serving as a mediator.
