Abstract:
In this research, I mentioned the role played by churches and monasteries in translating the meanings of the Noble Qur'an. How the church was able to impose its religious authority and transform the ancient Roman Empire, which extends geographically from the beaches of the Euphrates in the east to Scotland in the west and from the Danube in the north to the desert in the south, into a fighting religious doctrine. What was the great change made by Constantine in Christianity, after he gave wide powers to the church, raised its affairs, and gave the monks and priests many privileges and left them freedom in managing church affairs and issuing laws. As mentioned in the systems of churches and cultural monasteries that started from Spain and southern France and its role in translation of the Holy Quran, where the first Latin translation of the Holy Qur'an appeared in the year 1143 AD followed-by the translations of Islamic books after that. I also mentioned about the translation schools that spread quickly in Spain, and how Europe was drawn from the flag of Muslims and translated further into Latin, which is the language of the times in its time. This research also shows the role played by the Clooney monastery in their first translation and its advantages. I also touched on the reasons for the orientalists' interest in the studies of the Holy Qur'an. I ask God Almighty to make my work pure for his noble face.
