Special Issue on Sudanese Traditional Medicine: Past and Present Practices and Healing

The Editor-in-Chief of the Sudan Journal of Medical Sciences (SJMS) invites you to contribute significantly to the field by submitting a manuscript for potential inclusion in a special issue titled “Sudanese Traditional Medicine: Past and Present Practices and Healing.” Your research and insights are highly valued, and we look forward to their impact on this issue, scheduled for publication in June 2025.

This special issue presents a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and collaboration. It aims to explore the cultural theories, heritage, beliefs, and experiences associated with the diverse practices of traditional medicine in Sudan, providing a platform for rich academic discourse and learning.

It will also offer a chance to understand the inclusion of traditional and herbal medicine in the maintenance of health and healing approaches as alternative and complementary therapies by providing a scientific guide for bridging traditional medicine and herbal remedies and their integration into modern medical practice using randomized controlled trials and other innovative research methods.

Guest editors: Professor Ahmed El Safi and Professor Mohammed Galal.
