Al Wusul: The Arab Journal of Open Science Policies and Practises

Aims and Scope

Al Wusul is a bilingual journal, publishing original research and localised case studies in Arabic and English, with a focus on the role, implementation and impact of open science policies and practises in Arab higher education institutions. We aim to provide a platform to showcase regional activities using emergent or innovative perspectives and approaches, case studies relating to specific challenges and solutions within individual institutions, and new inter-institutional and cross-regional collaborative projects and partnerships. There will be a particular emphasis on case studies from the region’s researchers, librarians and policymakers.

This is a Diamond Open Access journal, owned by the Knowledge E Foundation, and serving as the official journal for the Forum for Open Research in MENA (FORM). There will be 3 issues per year, one of which will be dedicated to publishing select papers from the Annual Forum for Open Research (FORM’s flagship conference).
