The 7th International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities 2024 (ICOSSH VII)

This collection contains selected articles from the 7th International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (ICOSSH VII) 2024 held in Palembang, Indonesia, on November 14, 2024. This event was hosted by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sriwijaya.

The conference was held to discuss and examine pressing contemporary challenges across the field of social sciences and humanities, with a particular focus on the Asian region.

This KnE Social Sciences issue presents a collection of 24 peer-reviewed articles that focus on key themes of social transformation and humanity, highlighting how societies adapt to rapid change and analysing public policy and national resilience in the face of political, economic, and social pressures. It further addresses issues of diplomacy, security, and the global political economy, offering insights into Asia’s evolving role in regional and international affairs. In addition, the issue investigates the impact of digital communication and media on society, governance, and public discourse. Together, the articles offer interdisciplinary perspectives that deepen understanding of societal change, policy development, and global interconnectedness in Asia.

These articles will be of interest to academics, students, researchers, policymakers, and professionals involved in or studying topics related to society, communication, public policy, diplomacy, and Asian studies.
