The 8th International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (8th ICOSSH)

This collection contains selected articles from the “8th International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (8th ICOSSH)” held in Palembang City, South Sumatra, Indonesia, on 3rd September 2025. This event was hosted by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sriwijaya University.

The conference was held to discuss recent developments concerning the global situation characterized by uncertainty due to various factors, with a particular emphasis on developing digital transformation and literacy.

This KnE Social Sciences special issue contains 31 peer-reviewed articles that focus on key topics related to the theme, including new government initiatives, strategic planning, and developmental projects across Indonesia. This special issue also explores ways to improve the roles of regional and local government in transforming health administration, literacy, preserving cultural heritage, and the use of artificial intelligence in public administration.

The articles in this issue also address overcoming barriers in improving efficiency and transparency of public services, healthcare, and family well-being. These articles will be of interest to academics, students or professionals researching or working in the field of Social Sciences.
