The 7th International Conference on Education and Social Science Research (ICESRE)

This collection contains selected papers from the 7th International Conference on Education and Social Science Research (ICESRE) held in Semarang, Indonesia, on 9th October 2024. This event was hosted by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia Semarang (UPGRIS).

The conference was held to foster discussions and collaborations on the latest developments and research findings in education and social science.

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 59 peer-reviewed papers on education and social sciences. This conference focuses on several important topics, including self-advocacy for students with disabilities, the emotional intelligence of students, the critical thinking abilities of Olympiad-winning students in solving STEAM-based questions, enhancing confidence among minority students in Indonesia, determining content validity in students and assessing physical literacy, teachers' pedagogical competence in psychomotor assessment and their perspectives on academic supervision, using diagnostic assessments to promote differentiated learning along with the use of applications and learning programs for teachers. Additionally, the conference will address other key issues, such as the role of community social education in preventing religious conflicts, sustainable development and coastal management, the concept of a green economy, understanding smartphone addiction, factors that influence purchasing decisions for eco-friendly products, educating women on nutrition, marital readiness, and work-life balance.

The topics cover issues related to education, economy and business, language and literature, management, STEM education, technology for teaching and learning, sociology, law, and psychology.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students, or professionals researching or working on various aspects of education, social sciences, and related interdisciplinary fields.
