This collection contains selected articles from the International Conference on Economic and Sustainable Development (ICESIDE) held in Surabaya, Indonesia, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 15th of October 2024. This event was hosted by CV Blue Leaf Research and Publishing.

 

This conference was held to foster collaboration between experts, researchers, and policymakers in the fields of economics and development, aiming to bridge academic insights with real-world policymaking at regional, national, and international levels.

 

This KnE Social Sciences issue contains 30 peer-reviewed articles on economic growth, financial inclusion, sustainable development goals, and strategic economic planning. The papers explore the role of creative economies in driving sustainable development, financial inclusion in developing countries, and economic resilience. Discussions covered key issues such as the impact of foreign investment, digital transformation, and the challenges and opportunities of green and halal economic models. Additionally, several papers examine how tourism—particularly community-based, sustainable, and halal tourism—can contribute to economic growth while maintaining environmental and cultural integrity.
