8th International Seminar on Education 2024 (8th Isedu)

This collection contains selected articles from The 8th International Seminar on Education 2024 (8th Isedu) held in Ambon, on May 6th, 2024. This event was hosted by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education - Pattimura University.

The conference was held to critically assess Indonesia’s journey towards the “Golden Indonesia” goal of 2045 through the implementation of education’s sustainable development (ESD). By providing a solid foundation, ESD supports the transformation process for social, economic, cultural, and legal aspects.

This KnE Social Sciences collection contains 58 peer-review articles on ESD and it’s role as a successful metric in measuring the development of Indonesia’s social, economic, cultural, and ecological development. By analyzing managerial competencies, critical thinking ability, productive skills in terms of learning foreign language, designing model and puzzle-based learning outcomes for students and the role of teachers in implementing the model, ethnoscience studies, ethno-pedagogy and education in the context of Society 5, studies in this collection look to understand the transformative process of ESD in the Indonesian context.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students or professionals researching or working on development and transformation process through Education for Sustainable Development.
