8th International Conference on Sustainability (8th ICoS): Sustainable Economics

This collection contains selected articles from the 8th International Conference on Sustainability (8th ICoS) held in Malang, Indonesia on 15th September 2023. This event was hosted by the University of Merdeka Malang.

The conference, centered on the theme of sustainable economics and aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and real-world applications, contributing to the advancement of sustainable economic practices in both public and private spheres.

This collection contains 42 peer-review articles that offer various innovative studies within the field of sustainable economics. This issue particularly focuses on the intersection between public and private policies and practices within a national context, exploring the different ways that industry and society can collaborate to bring sustainable solutions to social and economic problems. This conference explores the benefits of digital banks, e-money, and digital business transformations. It also covers topics such as stable coins in the crypto market for value retention and transactions, the rights of MSMEs through Islamic banking principles, the importance of corporate governance in banking, and strategies to enhance customer satisfaction. Moreover, the conference focuses on financial and organizational performances, fostering knowledge exchange, and enhancing innovation in organizations and higher education, the influence of brands on audience engagement, purchase intentions, and brand loyalty. Other topics include disaster management facilities, promoting and developing sustainable tourism and traditional services, as well as the impact of inflation on poverty, welfare, and social media marketing.

These articles will be of significant interest to academics, students, and professionals who are researching or working within the intersection of sustainability and economics. Whether involved in policymaking, corporate sustainability initiatives, or academic research, this collection serves as a vital resource for advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in the pursuit of sustainable economic development.
