8th International Conference on Sustainability (8th ICoS): Entrepreneurship and Creative Economics

This collection contains selected articles from the 8th International Conference on Sustainability (8th ICoS) held in Malang, Indonesia on 15th September 2023. This event was hosted by the University of Merdeka Malang.

The conference, centered on the theme of sustainable economics and aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and real-world applications, contributing to the advancement of sustainable economic practices in both public and private spheres.

This collection contains 70 peer-review articles that offer various innovative studies within the field of sustainable economics. This issue particularly focuses on the intersection between public and private policies and practices within a national context, exploring the different ways that industry and society can collaborate to bring sustainable solutions to social and economic problems. Tackling issues from every level of governance and welfare, scholars within this collection explore alternative approaches to leadership and organisational structures within the private sphere as well as within education systems, improving security within popular eco-tourism destinations, and social-protection programs.

These articles will be of significant interest to academics, students, and professionals who are researching or working within the intersection of sustainability and economics. Whether involved in policymaking, corporate sustainability initiatives, or academic research, this collection serves as a vital resource for advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in the pursuit of sustainable economic development.
