International Conference of Applied Psychology (ICAP-H)

This collection contains selected papers from the International Conference of Applied Psychology held in Malang, Indonesia on 26th August. This event was hosted by the Faculty of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Malang.

The conference was held to gather and disseminate research on the importance of community in developing psychological wellbeing in children and adolescents.

The KnE Social Sciences collection contains 50 peer-reviewed articles on the impact of school environments upon child development. In today’s digitalised world, children and adolescents are faced with more social influences and pressure than ever before. As young people battle with issues of body image, a growing global mental health crisis, and the impact of volatile socioeconomic systems on their family lives, psychologists are eager to uncover new ways to prevent and support psychological dysfunction through applied psychology research. From the impact of peer counseling on mitigating the traumas of bullying to the importance of inclusive education practices for children with disabilities, the articles in this collection address a plethora of urgent topics that aim to support the well-being of young people around the world.

These papers will be of interest to academics, students or professionals researching or working on child development psychology, applied psychology, or educational psychology.
