The Fourth International Scientific Conference Ecology and Geography of Plants and Plant Communities
The fourth International Scientific Conference on Ecology and Geography of Plants and Plant Community gathered the specialists for discussions on new data and opinions exchange in composition and structure of the vegetation cover, current dynamics and resistance mechanisms of the plant communities, ecological physiology of plants and flora conservation. The conference was held at the Ural Federal University, and substantial group of the botanists and ecologists from Russia and other countries took part in it. Over 380 participants were registered representing 110 institutions from 70 cities and 7 countries, such as Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Conference topics: (1) geography of plants and comparative floristics, (2) geography of plant communities and vegetation classification, (3) plant population ecology and ecological physiology, (4) dynamics and resilience mechanisms of plant communities, and (5) flora conservation. Thus, the conference promoted to combine the efforts of botanists and ecologists in the field of biological diversity, biogeography, and efficient use of natural resources.
