This was a quasi-experimental study conducted on 36 neonates, selected with purposive sampling divided into two groups. Pain level was measured with the Neonatal Infant Pain Scale instrument during venipuncture or intravenous procedure. The Study was conducted since desember 2018 until february 2019. The data were analyzed using Mann whitney. The result showed a significant difference in pain level (p= 0.001) between the intervention and the control groups. The find ings indicated that the sound of Holy Quran recitation could help decrease pain level of neonates during invasive procedure.
