Our Chief Academic Officer, Dr Emily Choynowski, led a special capacity-building workshop for Knowledge E’s KnE Learn service titled ‘Academic Conferences: Select, Submit & Present Successfully.’ It aimed to empower researchers with the necessary skills and insights to navigate the intricate landscape of academic conferences. It was geared towards helping researchers select an appropriate conference, present a successful proposal, and deliver a captivating presentation. Held on the 7th of February 2024, the course unfolded as an interactive learning experience, engaging participants in thought-provoking discussions and real-world case studies to demystify the complexities of conference participation.

Dr Choynowski has presented at over 60 conferences around the world, and through her guidance and experience, participants gained a better understanding of the telltale signs and red flags associated with predatory conferences, strategies for crafting high-impact presentations that captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression, and how to navigate Q&A sessions with confidence.

KnE Learn supports academics and researchers in their professional development throughout the various stages of their careers. It contributes to a more knowledgeable world by providing needs-driven learning experiences that elevate individual researchers and institutions to compete and collaborate globally.
